, among others) rightly bemoaning the fact that rock music just does not have much of a cultural presence these days. Now, because I am a fanatic who is always eager to promote the music that I love (and because I have Thoughts™), I wanted to devote this post to some of my favorite modern rock bands, as well as my favorite song(s) by said bands. It might be a bit of a stretch at this point, but I’m defining “modern” as any band whose first album was released after I graduated high school in 2003.
