I’m Josh, and I have some thoughts. I also have opinions on culture and entertainment; opinions which I am more than happy to thrust upon an unsuspecting internet here on my Substack.
In addition to thoughts and opinions, I have wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. When I was in 8th grade, we were required to keep a journal throughout the year and mine was an ongoing story called Dan the Civil War Man. Mediocre title aside, it was quite the gripping tale if I do say so myself. I even unwittingly mimicked the ending of A Farewell to Arms a full five years before I read that particular book. Sadly, this unsung classic of middle school literature has been lost to the ages, so we’ll never know what could have been. Also, still in 8th grade, I wrote a short story sequel to my then favorite novel, The Last of the Mohicans, blissfully unaware at the time that there were already three sequels and a prequel.
Since I am committed to using this writing space for all it’s worth, anyone who wishes to subscribe can freely enjoy my thoughts, opinions, and storytelling endeavors. I currently have no plans to publish exclusively paid content, but anyone who so generously pays for a subscription will have the eternal gratitude of an internet tryhard.
