This is great! That moment with the body coming back to "life" was terrifying.

Thanks very much! I don't really consider myself much of a "horror" writer, so I'm glad that this part worked out so well.

Their first mistake was not sending Cotton Hill to deal with that Nazzy! He killed fiddy men!

Seriously, though, this has been fantastic so far. It's got the feel of an old Bond movie mixed in with an almost Outer Limits sort of horror feel. So much fun to read.

"It's got the feel of an old Bond movie..."

I think this is the nicest compliment anyone has ever given me about my writing.

I do hope you pick this up again one day. I agree with the other commenters. Strong Bond vibes are everywhere.

I was playing a lot of Call of Duty and Resident Evil when I wrote this. Maybe if I go back to those games, the creative juices will start to flow once again...

Outstanding! Loved the dream sequence referencing other stories and I can hear that damn German villain accent. Bravo, can't wait for more.

Unfortunately, you might have to wait, what with me traveling next week for Christmas. But I greatly appreciate your gracious words, and I'll see what I can do about not making you wait too terribly long.

That's completely fair and I don't mind waiting for good stories 🙂 Merry Christmas

This is scary as all hell, Josh 😬

When the body bag begin to unzip I was thinking “Just get out of there Chambers!”

And then that weird and scary dream sequence was like proper nightmare fuel for me 😱

Nice crossover with Everett Brooks though 😁

And, of course, that leads on to the question of who is his great-grandfather 🤔

Brilliant again. Looking forward to what comes next 👍🏼

Always good to hear my work has the intended effect, haha. I was trying to make that dream sequence trippy as could be, and I figured what better way than some shameless self-promotion.
