As the subheading would suggest, this Post is a bit of an off the cuff response to the New York Times’ (now) infamous list of the 100 Best Movies of the 21st Century. The other reason I’m blasting this out (without much forethought) is to challenge
’s contention that 100 great movies haven’t been produced in the last 25 years. So, in no particular order (and entirely off the top of my head), here are 100 films that are personal favorites of mine from the last quarter century:

Once again, this is far from an exhaustive list: I’m mostly just jotting these down as I think of them (mostly). And, of course, this is all entirely subjective, so please spare me any unhinged rants about how I’m an ignorant, uncultured dumb dumb.
That being said, I would love for anyone who reads this to chime in with some of their favorite movies from the inaugural 25 years of the 21st century.
If you enjoyed reading my Thoughts™, consider showing your appreciation by helping to make my dream of quitting my day job a reality.
Great list Josh 👍🏼
And a reminder I should watch Pan’s Labyrinth and The Town again soon 🤔
The less said about there not being 100 great movies made in the last 25 years, the better 🙄
I mean you didn’t even mention The Desolation of Smaug ….. 😁
Oh man, so many great films on this list.
